General Update Course:
The Real Estate General Update Course is a required four-hour annual class for licensees who are NOT designated as BIC-eligible and who wish to maintain their license on “Active” status with the North Carolina Real Estate Commission.
Topics for this year’s Update include: Competence, Material Facts, Home Inspections, Wire Fraud, Law and Rule Changes, and Licensing and Education.
The class will be taught by Donna Chase on Sunday, June 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at our Jacksonville location.
For the Good of All
Effective January 1, 2001 and for each successive four-year period thereafter, NAR requires each REALTOR® to complete a course of not less than 2.5 hours in the REALTOR® Code of Ethics (COE) in order to maintain membership in the REALTOR® organization. The current 4-year COE cycle ends December 31, 2020. This COE courses meets the COE requirements set forth by NAR. While the focus of CE course is on the “conduct” of REALTORS®, that is, the Articles and Standards of Practices as found in the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, it also address the Professional Standards Enforcement mechanisms allowed for in the NAR “Code of Ethics and Arbitration” manual.
The class will be taught by Donna Chase on Sunday, June 7 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at our Jacksonville location.
There will be a short break for lunch.
